Jewelry is meant to be worn, to be loved, to be appreciated. All too frequently, fabulous pieces are stored in boxes waiting for just the right occasion to be flaunted. Sure, a 128-carat yellow diamond is maybe best suited for a red carpet and its own security team, but Gaga herself even tried to go into Taco Bell while wearing it... The point is, today is the day. Working from home in sweats? Throw on some fab bracelets that you can stare at while you type. Running errands in jeans? Layer on all the necklaces over that t-shirt. Drinks with friends? Who doesn't love the sparkle of rings when sipping from a wine glass...
Liz Wilson is a North Carolina native currently splitting time between Portland, OR, and Wrightsville Beach, NC. She comes by her love of jewelry through her family. Her grandparents always picked up pieces while traveling, and learned to make jewelry together in their retirement, with her grandfather learning to facet stones and her grandmother learning to silversmith. She always teamed up with her dad to pick out special occasion pieces for her mom (aka spying while shopping and passing the word along to the one with the money :) ). Liz loves to acquire pieces while traveling, to commemorate occasions, and with rich history. A few years ago, after many failed attempts to learning how to knit, she fell in love with the art of knotting beaded gemstone strands. Thus, quotidie in its first form was born.
